Welcome

Family #3 in the Archdiocese of Seattle
Serving the greater areas of Mt. Vernon, Burlington, La Conner, Sedro-Woolley, and Concrete

From Pastor Fr. Tom McMichael

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the website of the Skagit Valley Catholic Churches! We are a family of four diverse and vibrant Catholic parishes, a mission, and a regional Catholic school in the beautiful Skagit Valley of Washington State. Whether living here or just passing through, we invite you to join us as we seek to joyfully and faithfully celebrate the Sacraments and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

With my prayers and every good wish,

Fr. Tom McMichael

We need your help! In the month of October, we in the Skagit Valley parishes—Parish Family #3 in the Partners in the Gospel parish renewal effort in our Archdiocese—begin phase 2 of this three year process. Your input is key as we focus together on the question: What are our gifts? To help us answer this central question we ask you to reflect on and respond to these questions:

  1. How have your experiences in your parish—and in the wider Skagit Valley Catholic churches--brought you closer to God? What has been the spiritual impact of your participation in your parish and in the Skagit Valley parishes?
  2. If you had to describe the main gifts and charisms of your parish—and of the Skagit Valley Catholic churches--to a newcomer in one sentence, what would you say? What is your favorite part about being a parishioner? What stands out to you as something to be proud of?

Skagit Valley regional and parish staff and clergy, in partnership with the Parish Family #3 Advisory Council, will read and synthesize your responses and use them as we prepare the One Parish Plan that maps our vision for the future and which we will submit to the Archbishop for approval. You can access the questionnaire electronically through links in the SVCC Flocknote; paper copies will be available in the narthexes of all our churches beginning with the Vigil Masses this Saturday, Oct. 11.

The questionnaire can also be found in English at https://archseattle.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/6496/responses/new and in Spanish at: https://archseattle.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/6522/responses/new. The deadline for responses is Sunday, October 26.
